Compatibility

CD Wave was designed and tested to run on:

  • Windows 95
  • Windows 98
  • Windows ME
  • Windows NT 4
  • Windows 2000 (all versions)
  • Windows XP (all versions)
  • Windows Vista (all versions)

    • In addition, CD Wave reportedly works on:

  • Windows NT 3.51
  • Virtual PC (emulator on Mac)

    • Minimal system requirements

    CPU: 486 (or compatible)
    Memory: 16MB
    OS: Windows 95, 98, NT4, NT3.51 (with service pack 5), 2000, ME, XP
    Disk space: about 500k for program, plus enough to hold audio data
    Soundcard: Only required for recording and playback

    Recommended system requirements

    CPU: Pentium 166 (compatible) or better
    Memory: 32MB or more
    OS: Windows 98, Windows NT4, Windows 2000 or Windows XP
    Disk space: Larger is better. Two drives for fastest perfomance
    Soundcard: Capable of 44kHz, 16-bit stereo recording and playback
